1. I was just going to post this link --
A couple of observations:

The writer didn't mention Joe saying he did NOT want the job -- only the part where he said "of course I'd say yes". I think that gives the wrong impression. S/he's only selecting the quotes that suggest Joe would take the job - not the whole shebang. That kind of bugs me.

They can only come up with three 'negatives' for Joe.

4. I'm beginning to think that it has to be Joe.
Not for Joe himself. As we all know, he is much too talented to be Veep.

But for Obama to win. Obama is running against McCain, whose latest polling shows that 75% of Americans think he would be the better commander-in-chief. Who else is going to be able to shut McCain and the gopers up? There have only been two people with foreign policy cred that have been constantly out there defending Obama. The person I liked for veep was one of them - Jim Webb, but he took his name off the list. That leaves Biden. There's nobody else. Not even Kerry because the repugs would have too much of a field day with that.

What Biden adds to the ticket isn't geography. He doesn't represent a 'new kind of politics'. But he represents a man that knows foreign policy inside and out and has the wit to go after all of the stupidity coming out of the RNC.

With Biden on the ticket, nobody is going to be able to say that Obama/Biden does not respect the troops, or that Obama isn't ready to be commander in chief. And Biden will make sure of that :)

Just my 2 cents.

5. you may well be right
Perhaps others are going through the same process each of us did to arrive at the fact that Biden was the top candidate. After the primary melee, they're looking around and saying, OK, now, who's the best qualified?

6. Really well put, P. And it makes a whole lot of sense.
I was rooting for Clark, for a while, but NOBODY can bring it home like Joe.

I still haven't given up on Brian Schweitzer, though -- he can let loose with a zinger or two, too.

If you like him so much, he's gotta be good :)

7. I seriously think Biden could help Obama carry PA
because of his name recognition in Southeastern PA, and his Catholic roots. :applause:

8. he was born in Scranton, part of childhood there, right?
so his roots to PA are even stronger than Clinton's that way too.

10. Yes, everyone in the Philly area, and most of eastern PA
knows Bideyman. :D He teaches/taught at Widner, just over the border in PA. Delaware and Southern Chester County are very closely related.
