Great article about Joe in The Wash Times
"Biden against all odds"

One of party's top talkers overcame speaking fears, eyed as Democratic No. 2

Its four pages long and very positive!

2. That is a great article! Except reading this part --
Mr. Biden was fond of telling voters who suggested he was perhaps a better fit for secretary of state, "Are you ready to vote for anyone for president who is not smarter than their secretary of state?"

It was almost surreal reading that line that I loved and repeated often while I now sit here and pray that Obama makes Joe Sec of State.
It really was an honor to support Biden last year.

3. It really does jump off the page
for Biden supporters. It was a great political line and so true. Evidently not everyone agreed though.

4. I can't help but wonder if he was given more of a chance if more people
would have come around.

It was all about Obama and Hillary from day one.
An election about change, not experience....or so the pundits said.

5. We were convinced of it at the time --
because, as we know, when you start LISTENING to him, you see how damn smart and capable and qualified he is.

And even now, when we post something Joe said or did, he gets lots of praise here on DU. Remember the old days -- 4 or 5 teeny voices always coming to his defense - then we'd get clobbered all over again? They wouldn't give him an inch, but now that they're able to listen without the filter of his being a potential threat to their candidate... "Joe is Right." :7

6. I think if he'd had more time to campaign
he would have reached more people. Getting out so early meant a lot people never really got to know him.

8. Agree.
When I started tuning in I liked them all. I'd watch a debate and for each and every one I'd say -- I'd be fine with him/her as President. But the more I saw them, the more Joe pulled ahead of the pack. Except, as you noted in another post, with the MSM. :grr:

7. That's the kind of election the pundits wanted
so that's the election they created.
