Boy, am I ever glad I gave up DU for Lent. I missed major fireworks I'm sure }(

Anyway, I'm glad to be back and will probably not be on as much as in the past (gotta keep the blood pressure down).

1. Welcome back

I think everyone needs to take a break from DU now and then. I did due to circumstances beyond my control. Coming back gives you a different perspective. Like most people, I came here for intelligent debate and discussion, but it turned into something else entirely. I wish we had a nominee already, so we can get back to fighting "them", not "us".

By the way: Before I left on break the VA Primaries were around the corner. I ended up not voting.

3. Can't blame you

I'm in CA and as Joe was still on our ballot, I voted for him. If I'd believed strongly in any other candidate, I would have voted for him/her, but at the time, Joe was the only one I could cast a vote for.

4. Hiya!

I had a brief respite, too, and it was GREAT. I found that once I was back in the saddle, I was ALMOST right back to where I'd started. Sigh. So pace yourself.

Our Primary is in May. If there's a clear winner by then I'm voting for Joe. If not, I'm voting for Obama. Not passionate about him, but I seem to have drifted in that direction. I'm not emotionally invested in the outcome as if I would be if our guy was still in the mix.

There have been some great discussions that I've stumbled upon -- like re-vamping the primary system or focusing on how to beat McCain.

I have a feeling our next big battle might be who the nominee should choose for a VP. :7

I took yesterday afternoon off :silly: I'm apparently not smart enough to take longer off than that. I just stay out of GDP unless something here directs me there.
