Hillary won with the Rush and his minions crossing over to vote for her.
I just visited "you know where" and they are thrilled their "votes" worked for her. Of course, they will vote for McCain in November so where is her "win" on this one? He's still ahead with delegates but this entire process of crossing over makes me ill.

1. OKAY....WHAT DO I DO???????
Our County convention is March 15th. At the Iowa caucus, we garnered a Delegate for Biden under the Hillary Banner - In other words, we would join forces with Hillary if we could choose our own delegate, hence a Biden Delegate. Now it appears the election will not be determined by our County Convention. Do I stand my ground for Biden on Principal (not sure I have that option) or do I choose between the two and go for it.

4. Biden won't reach viability at your county convention so you will have to realign
just like at the caucuses.

2. He'll get the nomination...
but he will lose the GE. Hillary supporters, and those who are strongly against Obama, and there are a lot of people who are, will cross party lines and vote for McCain. In fact, I don't know anyone that will vote for Obama. They are more against Obama than they are McCain. They'd rather take McCain for 4, than Obama for 4/8.

Hope the 'Hillary haters' see what the have created. I'd be willing to bet that more than half of Obama's support comes from people who just hate Hillary. Now, the tables will be turned. People will vote for McCain, because they hate Obama.

3. why do they prefer McCain to Obama?
Among the folks you're describing, are there specific issues where they feel McCain represents their interests and positions better than Obama would? Or is it just a reaction against Obama no matter what?

6. The ones I know
don't trust Obama. Some can't get past the Muslim thing (dumb I know, but they believe it at their core) and his lack of foreign policy experience. Most people know someone fighting or has fought in Iraq and they do not want a president that doesn't know what they are doing. One other person thought he was the one to play the race card in SC not the Clintons....as I said, for many of them it comes down to trust.

11. I don't know why but there was a study done -
Quarter of Clinton supporters would vote McCain over Obama
Interesting result from a recent survey conducted by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press: If their favored candidate is not the Democratic nominee, a quarter of Hillary Clinton's primary supporters would defect and vote for John McCain in November, while only 10 percent of Barack Obama's supporters would do the same.

This discrepancy seems to be explained by Pew's demographic breakdown of the potential defectors, as the groups most likely to jump are also Clinton's bases of support: "One-in-five white Democrats (20%) say that they will vote for McCain over Obama, double the percentage who say they would switch sides in a Clinton-McCain matchup (10%). Roughly the same number of Democrats age 65 and older say they will vote for McCain if Obama is the party's choice (22%). Obama also suffers more defections among lower income and less educated Democratic voters than does Clinton."

Here's another interesting thing -- the Clinton campaign is promoting this stat, both in an e-mail from spokesman Phil Singer and in an item on its "Delegate Hub" Web site.

I am not one of them! I would definitely vote for Obama over McCain.

12. That is pretty much the Demographics of the people I know.
I think the elderly are especially leary of Obama. The lower income less educated voter I thought already was on Hillary's side. Obama tends to pull in the educated and higher income. Makes me wonder why....they have less concerns with Health Care and Taxes???***!!!

13. what baffles me is McCain is NOT going to help them with those issues
So maybe they think Clinton will serve their interests better than Obama. But to think McCain will be better for them than Obama????? I hope all those poor folks who voted for Bush a few years ago are enjoying their economic well-being now :eyes:

I hope the elderly are not just using the "looks more like me" test??

14. I think people are just uncomfortable with how green Obama is.
That's why he needs Biden in his administration ;)

8. This whole thing is a gigantic media circus and a clusterfuck
at this point. I want it to all go away and let's get a nominee. McCain is building his stratemegy and we are flailing. The Republicans LOVE this. And they will kick our asses for it.

I went to bed last night really disheartened for you folks in the USA. If this keeps up, say hello to Preznit McLame. Say goodbye to freedom of choice, your currency will continue to slide into the toilet, Iraq will never end.

Life as we knew it in the US will officially be over.

I'm glad I moved to Europe when I did, I only hope that my daughters will be savvy enough to follow. And I pray for my mother that she can survive alone in the coming years.

9. charges of them voting for Obama before, Clinton now...
... all makes me wonder how the DNC can approve some states having open primaries/caucuses and others not. It seems to me like if the point is nominating within the party, they need to be closed. If the point is trying to find out which of the candidates gets the most general support, they should be open. Since non-Dem voters could vote GOP I can see the argument against the latter. The former also can pick someone less likely to win in Nov. So I can see it either way, but isn't it strange that it can be different in different states???

And no more caucuses.

10. Of course Rush said that! They were laughing about it on CNN earlier today.
Rush is irrelevant right now.

Please don't tell me that Obama supporters actually believe this.
I mean, seriously people, it's okay when Repugs cross over and vote for Obama, but
if they vote for Hillary - it's because Rush told them too?

18. Its okay if their are crossovers
in the GE...

However ever since Iowa, rethugs have been showing up to vote in OUR open primary's or cacucses.
more than a few Republicans I know have told me how the gop knows they havent a chance against Obama. and WANT Hillary to be their opponent come the GE.
They feel we are stupid and our selection can be influenced. Thats why i have been saying ever since Iowa, that "Closed primarys and cacauses are the only true measure of where true dems feelings lie."

16. They want you too believe
I don't think there is any doubt they (Rush and his minions) wants you to believe they have that power. When I first heard that it took me aback at first......then I keep hearing this rhetoric over and over from them. They are making it clear that between now and November they are going to be doing everything they can to tear apart the Democrat party. I personally think the Democrat's are doing a good job of it on their own. They want the credit though.

Why would they not want to do this??.....They have a weak candidate and know the only way for him to win is too make the Dem. candidate appear as divisive. If we don't all support the candidate that gets the nomination....well I guess their plan works..

17. aint that the truth
Hillary thinks those votes will be there in Nov... Wrong!!!

Reminds me of that popular girl who thinks everyone loves her. then when she hears anything negative about herself she is crushed (more than most) as she has no inkling of the true disdain she carries.
