I'm still interested in arriving at a place of peace and joy and comfort for all; where everyone sings and laughs...where no one cries. Without Joe in the hunt, however, it appears unlikely that he'll be the locomotive hauling the train. Nevertheless, the destination is worthy of effort; recognizing, as well, that not all effort is "right" effort, leading to the goal.
Aside from a locomotive, there are stations, routes and bridges along the way to be built and traversed, and maintained for those who follow. The engine in the lead...the routes...the stations along the way - they are myriad as the atoms contained in all of what we know as space and time. A being much wiser than me once noted that the path is not so difficult for one who has no preferences.
Even with Joe Biden pulling the heartstrings of a people down the track, there would be grave difficulty and hardship to overcome. We placed our collective hope, passion and strength behind Joe Biden in the belief that he could best power our dreams from the front of the train, shouldering the pull. That he might need to push AND pull does not diminish his usefulness as a propelling force.
If we end up with but a team of jack asses to haul us over every divide along the way, well...that's what we'll have. But we all will no doubt want to get out and push from time to time, too. It is incumbent upon us to help Joe, and ourselves, find the routes, build the bridges, maintain the stations and prod the braying jack asses at the head of the train to glory.
Alternatively, we are offered an injection-port implant, and the Thorazine drip.
