This Is What I Wrote To Biden Today
I simply can't just sit here. I have no place to put my energies.

-P

Sir,

I know that you will probably never see this email and I suppose that is just the way it is. But I felt compelled to write to you anyway.

I am a proud American. You know all too well what has happened to our country over the past seven years. I will probably not live long enough to see us return to our former glory, I've accepted that.

Mr. Biden, we need you. America needs you. As I write this, tears are running down my face. I weep for this country and what we have become. I beg you to reconsider your departure from the Presidential race. This is not a time to make presidential history with the first African-American or first woman. We don't have time for that. Our country is in critical shape and only a person of your experience and qualifications can bring us back.

I fought for you both in the good times and in the bad. And I recall what your father told you...to get up. You shared that with us and I believed in you.

You also stated on several occasions that "there are some things worth losing an election over." I admired that statement and it furthered my belief that you were genuine. Well sir, as much as there are some things worth losing an election over, aren't there some things worth winning an election over? The country is worth winning an election over.

What are we to do? Where are we to place our passions now that you are gone? I am an American, a proud American who hopes everyday that you will reconsider.

Please, Joe. Do it for America.

-Paige

1. That brought tears to my eyes as well
Good letter Paige. Without financial backing, I don't see how he could get back in the race though. I really don't know what the answer is.

8. another great article!
Thanks for posting. How Joe may figure into someone else's cabinet will most likely figure into who I decide to support. Although, I may just hold out and support the eventual nominee.

Great letter by the way.

10. Thank You for Posting That Video
My disappointment was starting to subside until I saw the video. It brought tears to my eyes.

What is wrong with this country?! This is totally unacceptable. We cannot just sit by and watch as two pretenders compete for the highest office in the land. How could America be so stupid? I'm just completely disgusted and don't know what to do.

19. Yeah, that would be the only chance
The only way I could see that happening is if Hill and Obama continue to split delegates and Edwards is able to stay in it until the end and he gets enough delegates to keep the other two from getting enough. On top of that Edwards would need to not send his delegates to either of them on subsequent ballots. Only then could Bidden rise up. It's a nice fantasy at this point, but who knows. If the media decides a brokered convention could make them more money...
