Here's my prediction...
Whoever the Dem nominee is, that person will ask Joe to sit second chair; and, Joe will accept. Write it is stone.

2. I'll writ it in pencil. I just don't see it happening. If Clinton gets the nod,
Joe has said he won't be her VP -- he's smarter than that and knows what he'd be up against.

If Obama gets it, it's almost insulting for a man of Joe's experience answering to someone who's still wet behind the ears.

4. I'll be famous
for having predicted the improbable.

Bill owes Hill the campaign drill, but ten bucks says he'll be out philandering later, and she doesn't intend to let him anywhere near the oval office anyway.

Cheney has shown how powerful second chair can be when there's water behind the ears of #1.

Joe is a pragmatist. He knows what must be done.

3. IF....if....Bill C. assumes a travelling emissary for this country to try
and mend fences, and makes it understood he has no other function concerning the WH, and they make promises in blood to Joe (which I'm sure he would make them do)...I can see Joe being her VP. He would be an enormous asset to her and would rid that dynasty feel. Bill would be on the road, which he is with Poppy most of the time anyway. I like the idea myself. Of course, oaths in blood I'm sure would have to be taken and Joe could threaten to walk whenever he was not happy....Guess I'm doing some fantasizing here but...gee, I really miss the guy... God love 'em..

6. I'm not sure Bill and Poppy will be such good traveling buddies after Bill's comment
about Hillary using Poppy as a Goodwill Ambassador.

And, the thought of Bill Clinton's ego and Joe Biden's ego in the same room.... Don't know how well that would work...

9. agreed on all points, gately- save one-
I don't see Biden having a big ego. Big Dog, sure. Biden knows in his heart what's right and is willing to fight for it. Not because HE's right- but because IT's right.

and anyways i don't give Poppy a lot longer. just don't see it.

10. I agree that Biden will fight for what's right -- because it's right. I guess I don't
know how to express it very well. Maybe Biden said it best (duh!) -- he's not looking for a token position and I think if Bill were back in the WH, a VP roll WOULD be marginalized. Insulting to a man of Biden's experience and stature, and I don't think he'd thrive in such an environment.

12. He is currently the most powerful person in the Senate. VP would be downsizing.
But I hope you're right. In my heart i hope you're right.

The candidate that says "Biden Exit Strategy" first (and means it) gets my vote.
