1. I hadn't seen this --
What do you guys think?

I'm not sure that he wouldn't have less power than he does in his current positions, so I'm undecided.

2. I say "NO"
Biden shouldn't be anyone's VP.

5. Smells weakly Rovian
to me. The site looks like a generic, turn-key "craft your own internet petition" place. It's not going anywhere with Biden's politically astute, loyal supporters, and it practically argues Obama's positively unqualified. A few Biden supporters who are feeling disenfranchised will sign it, but who's the fool behind it? It has the look and feel of low budget, low brow politics. Almost like plumbers.

Now, if Obama is the nominee and selects Joe as Veep; and, should Joe accept: well, I'd find it hard not to get him a heartbeat away from the presidency. In that event, Joe will tell us what to do, although we might have to read between the lines to understand how and why it turned out that way. No truth is too strange.

12. Can't sign for many of the reasons you mentioned
It would feel like a slam to Biden.

8. Nope. If you can't do National Security on your own,
you have no business running for President. Joe doesn't need to be anybody's prop.

Let them take on John Mccain on their own. the Dems had their chance, and blew it as usual.

10. Maybe this is sincere. Maybe not. After Iowa an associate at work mentioned that Biden might be
asked to be the VP on a ticket...

for a moment i thought that'd be cool...

then i thought the better of it and said "no, he's the most powerful person in the Senate right now- it would be a lesser role for Joe."

My work-mate agreed.

11. That is how he'll decide if offerred
Where he can do the most good. I heard he said something about the VP job comparable to Cactus Jack Garner's comment.
