In a charity used furniture store that gets containers of stuff from overseas as well as donations from locals, I spied a shelf of copper boxes. They are about ten inches by four inches by four inches tall, with hinged lids. There are about fifty of them. They are fifty cents each. Aside from the metal value (which is reason enough to buy them I guess) I'm wondering what I could do with them for resale.
tea bags for one thing....one would work real nicely for my oil pastels...etc....for the smokers out there, you could use one for cigarettes...I can think of all kinds of things to use them for. :hi:
4. Check the daily price of copper in the paper, estimate the weight
of the boxes. Might be able to sell the lot to a non-ferrous metals buyer. I know copper is $$$ per pound. Check the yellow pages for the buyers and give them a call. Ask if they buy by the pound and what are they paying? If the boxes are heavy, you might make some good $$$.
