"Every Ride Is A New Chapter"
That is what I tell myself (out loud) when getting on my bike for a 30 mile ride to work or a 1 mile ride to the store. Welcome to a new chapter.

Every turn is a new page, every stop a new paragraph. Some are better than others. I didn't take that turn very well or I really nailed that corner. Every one I consider an "event". The sudden down pour. The cross-wind that creeps up on you in a turn. Braking a little too hard at a light and putting the foot down a little too hard.

I know it is a little corny and romantic-sounding but I am growing to love biking so that for me it kind of fits.

Almost got creamed this morning by a guy in a sports car on a 2-lane road who didn't find it necessary to check his mirrors before pulling into the right lane behind someone taking a left. I had 'picked up' another biker behind me and when we got to the next light, I looked in my mirror at him. We both just shook our heads.

Every turn. Every stop and start. Every hill. A new page in the chapter. A new paragraph on the page. It frankly, is thrilling.

I simply cannot put it down.

:hi:

Sorry for sounding like an idiot

1. I completely agree matcom
As much as I struggle with learning to ride, it happened at the best possible time for me. Now I find myself wondering what life was like before my motorcycle. :hi:

2. And even after enough "chapters" that it's all second nature...
it's still the most fun you can have with your clothes on. (Or off...a club brother one rode from Nashville to Chattanooga in a torrential rainstorm while totally naked but for a helmet. He seemed to enjoy it as much as we enjoyed laughing at his antics.)

3. Always an adventure
That's what I fell in love with. Wait till you go camping on it. There's no feeling quite like having everything you need on two wheels. :)
