85°F Humidity: 66% and too hot for my helmet and jacket
I'm still trying to find a light weight jacket, but I really don't want to part with my full face helmet. Anybody have an suggestions on how to survive riding in hot weather (other than riding in just jeans and a t-shirt)?

I am a melting marshmallow!

1. Joe Rocket mesh jacket
As long as you're moving, you won't even notice you have it on!

2. Thanks
I found a jacket I like, on sale, this afternoon. It is much lighter! :hi:

While looking for pics of it, I found a helmet that matches. Oh no... lol

9. Helmet? Heck, send the tins to ThomWV
He'll paint the bike white and maybe even paint some orange and blue pinstripes.

(Actually, from your picture, it looks like your helmet already matches this jacket)

I have to find a nice mesh jacket, too. But, in MI, I have a little time before it gets real hot and humid.

:hi:

10. My helmet does match, sort of...
but, but, I like the wings! lol

I'm going to keep an eye on it & see if it goes on sale. Not only that, I really should be safe & not wear a half helmet. But, but...

11. Half-helmets are loud
If you do much highway riding, 50 mph & up, you might want earplugs or something. The wind noise is pretty bad with half a helmet.

Then there's the goggle-tan-lines.

3. I've got a Fieldsheer all mesh jacket and it's actually cooler
with the jacket on than off. Air moves through it like it isn't there but it blocks the sun so I don't get the radiant heat. I'm sure it's like the Joe Rocket or any other all mesh jacket. It was 94 yesterday with a heat index of 101 and I was comfortable moving or not.

4. The mesh jacket is good advice.
I wear full gear even when it's over 100 here in Texas. Your gear doesn't do you a damn bit of good hanging in the closet. Take frequent breaks and stay hydrated.

6. Thanks, I know
It's getting increasingly difficult. But it would be foolish for me to part with it... especially since I am a beginner.

12. Or, as a buddy of mine used to say, "the jacket's hot..."
"...but skin grafts are hotter. And you can't take them off." ;)
