3 part, 3 hours series about American crafts, craft schools, and influences. Amazing stuff!

They included everything from quilting, glass, weaving, jewelry, woodworking, and so many other things Im forgetting. Some really in-depth looks at the people who do this work, and what it means to them.

And one pottery artist who really got my attention, nearly every thing he made was influenced by his incredible anti-war position. He made lots of teapots - but they were items that didnt look much like teapots. A square skull, the lid was a mushroom cloud and the spout was 3 oil barrels. And his masterpeice - a set of clay tiles, each one with a war image on it. Bombs, mushroom clouds, skulls, torture images from Abu Ghraib, destroyed buildings.... and when all the tiles were put together, the image became Bush's face.

I'd heard about it. But last night was reading night and this program slipped my mind. I'll have to catch the next episode.
