Regarding the violations of the FISA Act by the Bush Administration, they now feel that since they are going through a Judge all charges against Bush & Co. should be dropped. The ACLU filed a suit, and the White House wants it dropped based on the fact that since this change, well, they aren't doing it anymore!

This is about as lame as anything I've ever heard.

"Your honor, I should be let out of prison because I'm not robbing banks anymore."

"I should have all charges dropped because since I've been in jail, I haven't committed any forgeries."

"I haven't committed insider trading since jailed, so I should be released."

The fact that this ridiculous excuse is being used as a basis to drop a suit just shows how bad things really are. For this reason alone, the ACLU suit should continue.
