Police: 4 dead in mobile home, hanging child still alive
HUDSON OAKS, Texas (AP) -- A child was found hanging but still alive early Tuesday at a mobile home with the dead bodies of three other children and an adult nearby, authorities said.

Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler said the survivor was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth.

There was no immediate word on the child's condition.

Fowler had no further details but said a statement would be issued later in the day.

Police discover mother, 3 children dead from hanging; baby survives

(CNN) -- Texas authorities Tuesday found the bodies of a mother and her three children who died from hanging inside their mobile home, and a baby who had been hanged but survived, Parker County Sheriff Larry Fowler told CNN.

The 8-month-old infant was taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in nearby Fort Worth, Fowler said. The sheriff did not offer details on the baby's medical condition.

Police have located the father, who was apparently estranged from the mother, Fowler said. (Posted 11:26 a.m.)

3. The poor children
They were only ages 5, 3 and 2 and the one that survived was 8 months. I can't imagine how the woman who found them must feel. Not only was her sister dead but three of her nieces/nephews, not to mention the infant that was alive only by chance.

5. "hanged with strips of clothing and sashes"! If the children had been shot gun-grabbers would demand
guns be banned.

If gun-grabbers were consistent with their blaming inanimate objects for crime, they would demand "strips of clothing and sashes" be banned.

The murders are tragic and society can do a better job of identifying people with mental problems who commit such crimes.

 for the children and mother.
