Such madness , such horrid madness
I can't even watch another soldier as I saw this morning in Waxmans hearings with two troops describing what they go through in this horrific occupation in Iraq , every single day they go through watching people blown to bits or on fire and wait their turn . There is no way to prepare for this horror , no way .

I know damn well deep within my soul I could never survive what they do and yet they receive little of no help and are deployed over and over again .

Then I think of how the Dems sat back and funded this murder once again and it makes me sick , so sick that words escape me to describe the feelings I have .

I had hopes beyond hope that this madness would finally end and yet it goes on and on .

I am not telling anyone here anything new , I am ranting just to get out some of my rage against this killing machine that we support un-willingly and against our desire and no one listens . Damn them all to hell , just damn them all to hell , a hell i don't believe exists but a hell even if it is on this earth somewhere .

Why cannot these murderous freaks fall and find the worst life possible for the remainder of their years ?

1. Hey there...just to be Fair...it wasn't the Dems Idea to start the Damn War
It was Bush and his NeoCons

It was the Republicans who supported this killing machine you mention.....sure some Dems voted too...but its the REPUBLICANS who are the ENABLERS...big time.....,

2. Concur
A beginning to the end would have been nice. What was delivered was a beginning to a possible beginning to the end. And people are dying while extra special attention is focused on selling this nonsense as "the best the Dems could do".

3. And what makes it all worse:
is the fact that the sub humans that started this needless war, to a man, avoided a needless war when they had a chance to fight.
I hate these fucking people.

4. It isn't ever easy being anti violence & war.
My grandfather was a c/o duing WWI, my father during WWII & Korea (although he was a bit old for the latter)
My era was Viet Nam. You get so used to the idea that we belong to a party where mostly us anti war types are
in the minority. The Democrats are like a stubborn mule. You have to hit them with a stick to get their attention.
It's hard for us non violent folks to do that. The only way is with words, lots & lots of words. You don't want to wish
anyone evil. You just want to wish them righteous thoughts, maybe a little guilt for all that violent thinking that,
they're going to put in the past, and then nothing but peace & tranquility for all their days.

5.  Unlike in WW!!, we aren't fighting uniformed soldiers.
Edited on Sun May-27-07 07:11 PM by WinkyDink

Unlike in VietNam, we aren't fighting a particular national entity.

We are simply, and in no uncertain terms, murdering Iraqis. We are sending teens and other youths to Iraq not to capture territory; not to defeat an army; but to kill.

Because ANYONE can transform in a trice from a merchant, from a teacher, from a doctor, into a "terrorist", determined to kill the occupier. No uniform required.

Thus, our soldiers can see every Iraqi as a threat, even as a thing to be detroyed.

And nothing can come of such a "mission" other than severe mental disturbances.

If Death doesn't come first.

10. Thank you. I just now see that I meant to type "WWII" and "destroyed".
Past the "edit" time, though.

8.  That was what one of these troops was describing
That anyone can be the ememy and there is no way to tell . No , it is not a war of sides only a mission setting where no one can win .

It's chaos and madness . I can't even define this as a civil war .

9. It's impossible to referee a civil war, -especially- one you basically started.
Even if you're as impartial as possible, one side or the other - or more likely both- will see you as an enemy. There's no way to accomplish whatever the latest notion of 'victory' might happen to be.
