source" (paraphrase).

I'm listening to Sam Sedar's Sunday show on AAR.

During the news update at the top of the hour, the news reader mentions the story about the finding and rescuing 41 AQ captives who appear to have been tortured. At the end of the story, he said that story is being reported on Fox news but hasn't been confirmed by a more reputable news source.

:D

I've never heard them call out Faux quite like that during a news break before now.

1. BHAHA!
 Well, you DO have to check with sources before listening to shitty RW mouthpieces. They never get it right, even IF trying to get it right.

Again,

2. Actually, I read that story earlier:
http://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory?id=3217287

U.S. Frees 42 Iraqi Captives in Raid
U.S. Military Frees 42 Captives Kidnapped by al-Qaida in Raid on Hideout in Iraq's Northeast

American forces freed 42 kidnapped Iraqis some of whom had been hung from ceilings and tortured for months in a raid Sunday on an al-Qaida hideout north of Baghdad, the U.S. military said.

Military officials said the operation, launched on tips from residents, showed that Iraqis in the turbulent Diyala province were turning against Sunni insurgents and beginning to trust U.S. troops.

"The people in Diyala are speaking up against al-Qaida," said Maj. Gen. William Caldwell, the top U.S. military spokesman in Iraq.

Elsewhere in Diyala, a U.S. soldier was killed when an explosion hit his vehicle and a second soldier was killed in an explosion in Baghdad, the military said. The deaths brought the number of troops killed this month to at least 102, putting May on pace to become the deadliest month for Americans here in more than 2 1/2 years.

4. Don't know; I obviously wasn't there, but I did hear they were tortured,
broken bones, etc. Lara Logan reported on it tonight on CBS.

6. I had seen it earlier but didn't think it was sourced from Faux.

The caveat they added was what was funny, of course, not the story.

Years ago, Murtha said that the Iraqis would get ride of AQ if we left. They know who are the AQ people while we can't tell who is who.

edit to add - if the story has been sourced by other news sources then AAR should have used one of those and not had to use a caveat calling out Faux. It wont help AAR's credibility.
