Pharma-terrorists given license to kill by Bush regime

Pharma-terrorists given license to kill by Bush regime: Medical experiments to be done without patients' consent 27 May 2007 The federal government is undertaking the most ambitious set of studies ever mounted under a controversial arrangement that allows researchers to conduct medical experiments without first getting patients' permission. The $50 million, five-year 'project,' which will involve more than 20,000 patients in 11 sites in the United States and Canada, is designed to improve treatment (the profit margin for the corpora-terrorists) after car accidents, shootings, cardiac arrest and other emergencies... George J. Annas, a Boston University bioethicist, said "I don't think we should use people like this." Annas was particularly disturbed that children as young as 15 might be included in the research. (Bush's mentors, the Nazis, carried out such experiments on prisoners in concentration camps! Notice that this news tidbit broke in the middle of a holiday weekend, when no one is paying attention! Please forward this news item to your media lists.)

Court: Menu Foods harassed pet owners 26 May 2007 The pet food company that recalled 60 million cans of contaminated dog and cat food repeatedly made harassing phone calls to pet owners who had lawyers and said they didn't want to talk, even after a judge ordered the firm to leave them alone, court records show.

I've always thought that Sunday was when the shameless hysterical website self-promoters came out of the woodwork.

Why don't you try reading this thread for some informed discussion of the topic:

(edit: and this thread)

It doesn't make for the sensationalist reading of your hyperbolic nonsense website, but it's also not bullshit.

7. To deny any link between big pharma
and medical professionals whether it be on these experiments or anything else is ludicrous. Big pharma pulls a lot of strings.

15. Some people are in denial when it comes to
medicine and doctors that are falsely put on pedestals. One only has to watch network television for an hour to see all the commercials put on by big pharma. Go ask your doctor for this, that, and the other drug whose side effects are often worse than the illness. The doctors willingly write out the prescriptions to please the uneducated patient and to reap in the perks offered up by the pharmaceutical companies. There isn't one thing in a doctors office that isn't hawking an ad for some drug. Just sit in a doctor's waiting room and watch the drug representatives whisk by in their little suits and ties. It's sad when you need a doctor and you don't know whose best interests they are serving, yours or big pharma's.

17. My thoughts exactly!
And all those commercials saying, ask your doctor about..whatever-..it's like some weird form of hypnosis or something....I think it is a form of pure evil. And it has really gotten completely out of hand since Bush took over.... And folks, as far as the nazi wanna be guy on this thread- the best thing to do is ignore him!

14. Let's see: Are the 'experiments' to help people, even if there is a financial loss....
Edited on Sun May-27-07 04:26 PM by rec_report
to the pharmaceutical companies?
NO, not on your life.
The *experiments* are undertaken to save money and time, so that corporate *profits* are maximized.
And, the maximizing of corporate profits is what (for example) drove the approval of the deadly pet food by the Bush regime.
And, the corpora-terrorists installed/support the Bush regime.
The whole perverted system is undeniably *connected.*

16. so where can we get more info on this Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium?
It's a group I've never heard of.

Personally, If I'm in a situation where I need emergency aid of this sort, I want the tried and true treatments. I don't want to be a guinea pig for a consortium of nameless doctors.

18. Emergency care consists already of trying different things, experimenting.
This headline (and the presentation in this thread) is very misleading and I can see how it will lead to a lot more misunderstandings and fears.

When you get emergency care, you are allowing them to do what they think is best. How they determine what is best is based on a lot of things, and can change rapidly. A lot of emergency care ALREADY IS "let's try this, let's try that, let's see what works", it is NOT an exact science but a lot of trial, also called experimenting. Following the results, seeing what happens on a concentrated level is a good thing. Having someone looking at the outcomes is good.

19. Many health care specialists, scientists truly care about health care...
and I am sure their hearts are in the right place.
I should have added that point.
However, the motives behind the health care industry and the Bush regime are certainly to be questioned, as they have a long and undistinguished record.

21. Thank you! BTW, this is what a reader of our newsletter wrote:
He wrote:
'This is not new, and it has already been through the Courts. People on Welfare and Medicaid have been at the perils of experimentation for many years. Big Business, Insurance Companies and Drug Companies have supported this end for years.'
