Tammy Duckworth on Gupta's House Call on CNN:
They were observing her try out new bionic-type of legs. She was discussing how she makes the adjustment in becoming more proficient in using them, getting them to work together, etc. Her prosthetist was sayng that so many double leg amputees resign themselves to a wheelchair.

What I admire about her, besides her desire to keep going, is that she is out there, pushing for vets benefits. She says it has to be done know, because when the war is over, the public tends to forget about these sacrifices and they don't get the funding they need to provide the services.

1. I met her a year ago
Had a brief chat with her. She is one VERY remarkable woman,
never looked back, no whining, and I'm convinced that it was
the dirty tricks team of the Republicans that stole her seat
from her, and gave it to that lowlife who now holds it. The
scum had the nerve to call Tammy "cut-and-run" during the
campaign--a guy who never served calls a vet who lost her
legs in combat "cut-and-run" and still has the nerve to show
his face in public.

I hope Tammy shows them all up and will get to walk again.
If she becomes the six million dollar woman or the six billion
dollar woman, the money will not repay her what she lost,
but it will give hope to many--exactly what was stolen from
us along with her seat in the House.

2. I remember the gall of that campaign. Special place in hell for
those people. She wants to fly again, for crying out loud. She is so smart and well-spoken, I can't help but admire her all the way from Texas. And yes, she doesn't seem to be a whiner in the least, just a caring person someone seeking justice to make sure people are taken care of.

3. Yes, republicons HATE our U.S. veterans
They proved it in the Duckworth contest, and they prove it over and over and over...

It comes from shame about their status as republicon chickenhawks...of course.
