The other day a reporter asked bush why we haven't captured Osama yet, and bush said, Why is he at large? Because we haven't got him yet, Jim. That's why.

His answer of course was a stupid lie, but I have seen the question asked here a thousand times, "Why are bush and cheney still in charge after all the tyrannies and treasonous acts they've committed?"

And the answer is very bush-like: Because WE haven't stopped them yet.

And there you have it, and here we are.

1. Reminds me of something in Shakespeare:

"A Lord decides to play a joke on a sleeping drunk named Christopher Sly. Dressed as a lord and slipped into a fine bed, Sly is told when he awakes that he is a great lord who has lost his memory, and his ale-house rambles were but a dream".

From what I remember the new (drunkard) "Lord" takes his new powers seriously and starts ordering people around and becomes firmly ensconced in his new mansion and the real Lord is left out in the cold.

4. Because SCOTUS put them there, and they leveraged that by starting an illegal war with LIES

purged voter roles, switched Kerry votes to Bush votes in Ohio, and I could go on at lenght on why.

Why they have not been thrown out yet is a separate question. Distinct from, "Why are bush & cheney in charge?"

The question really is, "Why are Bush, Cheney and the Republicans in Congress in charge?" OR "Why does the 'Culture of Corruption' still prevail?"

Because, "There are too many of them," AND the 'Culture of Corruption' is a self-evident answer. Or, "Because it takes 2/3 to impeach!!!"
