Over 100 killed this May alone, one of the deadliest months in years for our soldiers in Iraq, that's 1000 to 1200 a year, a grim average. The man playing president says May was a 'snapshot' that must be put in perspective in the big picture.

1000 dead soldiers a year is what tony snow might call 'a number', dick cheney will call it a success, while oinking before an adoring crowd of military graduates.

Will we still be counting statistics next Memorial Day? Maybe for the next 5 Memorial Days? Or ten?

Will it end when bush and cheney leave office? How long will be be counting?

1. I'm still reeling from the "cave-in."
I'm trying my damndest to support the Congressional Dems thru this, but it's tough. Especially after reading Cindy's letter to Congress. Dickhead Cheney will go on speaking to selected audiences with "911" being every other word out of his crooked mouth. Chucklenuts will continue to say "it's all up to General Petreous" and hide behind Rovie and Snowjob. Unfortunately, we may still be counting in January 2008 if Dear Leader decides he wants to ignore Petreous' September advice to get out and orders 100,000 more troops to Baghdad. He knows now that Pelosi and Reid will cower. The only thing that could push the public over the edge would be a massive attack on the green zone killing a great number of our troops (I hate even typing this) - you know - like the Lebanon and Reagan thing. It's a sad state of affairs right now.
