Blanche Lincoln missed DADT vote, but she's really frustrated & sorry.
via Americablog: I wasn't surprised while watching C-SPAN when Lincoln made an overly dramatic, ridiculously flustered appearance on the Senator floor AFTER the vote yesterday to ask that she be counted as being for moving the repeal forward when it was already too late.

The only Democrat who opposes repealing Don't Ask, Don't Tell is Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV). All others support it. So why did only 56 out of 58 Democrats vote for it today?

"Senator Lincoln didn't make it back to this vote because she was in a dentist chair, and ran back and missed it by three minutes," Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) told reporters tonight. "She was very frustrated and apologized to both of us."

"I would like to have been recorded as voting yes," Lincon said on the floor when she arrived, too late to record a vote. "Had I been here I would have voted yes."

I was devastated that this Republican-lite Senator won her primary against Bill Halter in our neighboring state of Arkansas. I had worked hard and sent what money I could into that race to defeat her because I knew he had the best chance of defeating the Republican Boozman who defeated Republican-lite Blue Dog Lincoln in the general. Like so many Blue Dogs, Blanche Lincoln, has done nothing but hurt our party by not allowing us to make distinctions between what we stand for and what the elitist Republicans stand for. Good riddance, Blanche!

1. Dear Blanche:
Couldn't you have called ahead and asked them to hold the vote open for a few more minutes? Jeez, Republicans have done that in the past for as long as 1.5 hours while they twisted arms.

3. How lame is this?
Was her dentist a dog? ..The same dog who ate her homework?
That crack you may have heard if you live anywhere near Philadelphia was my jaw hitting the floor.

5. That dentist's chair is probably in her Senate office.
I'm not far wrong.
