12. A torrent

Is a way to download file quickly by getting the bits from various sources as opposed to one web page and/or server. At least, that's the definition I just made up in my head. :)

I don't play with torrents. They make my brain hurt.

13. Actually I do know what they are. I just cannot make them work.

I tried a year ago. And I just tried again. Totally confused.

I downloaded the software, and from there it's just confusion. I don't see any rhyme nor reason to it. I guess we're just suppose to be born with the information.

This is coming from someone who has been on the internet since '96. I thought I could figure anything out.

This is the second time I've downloaded the software. Run it. Downloaded the supposed program I wanted. (I tried a small one for starters) And nothing. I didn't see a downloaded file. Screw it. Let everyone else have the fun. I'll stick to internet radio. And biking.

I really do hate not figuring stuff out. I mean after five years of calculus, one would think this would be trivial.

Ironically, I've been teachng myself the Linux system and have had a ball tryng to figure it out. You would think I would have the patience for torrents.

I did download one of the bit torrent links, and then THOUGHT I'd downloaded the audio book, but I can't find it (the book, not the bit torrent).

I am SO not a computer techie!
