I had lunch with my Republican grandmother today (and if she would stop being so damn self-deprecating and use her head, she wouldn't be Republican for long. Sadly, that'll never happen) and in the inevitable course of conversation came the Unemployment/Tax Cuts dispute.

She thinks you can make MORE money on unemployment than you did at your actual work (not sure how, and I set her straight on it...not that it mattered) so of COURSE there's no reason to get off of Unemployment.

Also, clearly the Tax Cuts are needed for those small businesses. Asked to name 3, she replied...

"Kroger, Meijer, and Kentucky Fried Chicken are small businesses."
