First they came for the communists
and most were silent
Then they came for the socialists
and most were silent
These days they come for the Muslims
and most are still silent
Now they have come for blue eyed and blonde Julian Assange
Will we continue to remain silent when we know we're all next.

Gimme some fugging Truth!!

2. After the communists it was the trade unionists
Can't have people being organized. That screws everything up.

5. Impossible to screw things up.
Still don't have just compensation for beer and travel money so how were things made worse? And it depends how you see it.

Besides, if people knew for sure, then why would they do something?

4. I swear there should be some kind of moratorium on variations on this thing.

6. Um...a person practicing a religion or belonging to a political party
is not the same as a person who makes it a mission to expose a nation's classified documents. That's just dumb.

7. Depends on what the Classified document hides
For example, take the helicopter incident in Iraq. I think it was proper for Wikileaks to release the video. It gave us a good insight and first hand knowledge of what had been happening in Iraq. I went over the video, then went and bought the book "The Good Soldiers", which tells the tale of the unit on the ground (the one whose soldiers arrived on site after the helicopter murdered the Iraqis).

On the other hand, releasing a cable with a list of critical sites seems to be highly irresponsible. I don't think Assange did himself a favor when he failed to read through what he was releasing, and failed to keep out things which indeed could get a bunch of people killed.
