then Bush wouldn't have had enough change left over to supply troops with the plastic turkeys and paper body armor they so desperately need.

If the Democrats had insisted on a troop withdrawal, then the troops would have had to leave the safety and comfort of Iraq to face the extreme dangers of long distance travel back home.

If Joe Lieberman decided to caucus with Republicans, then highly important and popular measures like ending the Iraq War would have to be stopped by Senate Republicans rather than Senate Democrats.

So I think we all can agree that the Democrats did the only reasonable thing when they told the little brat having the tantrum that he could have anything he wanted if he would just promise to stop screaming until he wants something else.
