I'd like to say Thank You to the entire CT Democratic delgation.
Dodd, Murphy, Larson, and Courtney all voted NO on HR 2206. Thanks to the four of them for showing courage that was sorely lacking yesterday, and for giving me no place in state to channel my anger.

Special note to Senator Dodd: I am now giving your candidacy serious consideration.

4. Well, he caucuses with them, even though he's an "Independent Democrat"
or "Democrat Independent" or whatever he calls himself.

The baaaaaaastid.

3. We don't really consider Joe part of Connecticut.
He's in his own world. Hell, I often don't even think of him as human.

5. I often wonder how much "Buyer's remorse" is floating around CT in the months following his election
Are people irritated with his "Ooooooooooh, I'm gonna FLIP!!! I am...really, watch me, I'm GONNA do it!!!" bullshit? Are they angry at his 'attention whore' antics?

I'd be fucking livid if he were my Senator. He'd hear from me every damned day.

6. I used to write to him
But he always returned generic form letters, usually only vaguely relating to the topic I wrote about. He never listened even before this "independent" fiasco. He told you about what HE wanted to tell you about.

7. You should turn that exercise into an ART project--seriously.
Write to him and ask about a specific issue--short, sweet, to the point. Something like:

Dear Senator Lieberman, Please tell me what you intend to do about .........(fill in issue). Or Why did you vote for/against HR or S whatever. Or, What's your position on medical marijuana or immigration or what have you? Thank You. Sincerely, Atman

Then see what he writes back.

Do it a few more times, see what you get. If he ignores you completely, post your questions and his answers on the web. Make him look like the ass he is!

9. I've heard a number of people, embarrassed to admit they
voted for him, and quite unhappy now that they did so.

I wasn't in love with Lamont, myself. There were definitely times he didn't come across as serious, or up to the job. But heck, I'd have voted for a houseplant before Joe.

12. The 35% of Dems who voted for him knew what they were getting
I can't imagine there is any surprise there.

13. You don't think ANY of them are saying "Gee, we didn't sign up for this
'I'm gonna flip; I might endorse a GOP candidate for President' shit?" I'd think even conservative Dems would be a bit pissed at him.

8. Yes. I said the same this morning: "I think Shays is the
only one in the CT delegation who voted for this thing" To which my husband replied -- "well, what about Lieberman".

"Oh c'mon. He doesn't count. Does anyone even think of him as part of our delegation now? Does anyone think of him at all?"

Thanks for that info. I go to all the John Larson town meetings I can make and do my best to let him know this person is against this war and especially this White House!
