'Dancing With The Stars' Wants Todd Palin
Bristol Palin's long run on 'Dancing With the Stars' was so good for ratings the show's producers are already courting her dad Todd for next season, E! Online reports.

"They want him big time," a source told E! "They'd love Sarah, but they don't think that will ever happen, so why not go for the dad."

The source said that producers think Todd, like Bristol, would be "ratings gold" and they also want Meghan McCain and Elliot Spitzer.

In October, Sarah Palin herself said that 'Dancing' producers had originally approached Todd, not Bristol.

Damn you John McCain for giving these grifters a stage!

5. You know what would be great - both Sarah and Todd Palin competing against each other.
THAT would actually be interesting. Have each of them with a different partner competing against each other.

8. They should ask Sarah...
I'm betting that's why she was on the set the whole time Bristol was there. She's probably waiting to be asked!

10. If she was willing to do it, she'd be there instead of Bristol.
Edited on Wed Dec-01-10 02:50 PM by hughee99
I don't think the reason she wasn't on is that they haven't asked. She wants to be associated with the popular show without having to actually compete.

given the choice between the two, DWTS preferred Bristol to Sarah Palin?

From the OP: "They want him big time," a source told E! "They'd love Sarah, but they don't think that will ever happen, so why not go for the dad."

If this is accurate, if they'd "love Sarah", is it more likely to assume that she's been asked, or that she hasn't?

You're assuming she hasn't been asked, and is just waiting for her invitation.

"They should ask Sarah..."

You're assuming that they haven't asked her, but as we don't if they did or not, you're assumption that they didn't is no better that my assumption that the did. Given the statement that they'd "love her", I think it's more likely that she was asked, and declined.

"I'm betting that's why she was on the set the whole time Bristol was there. She's probably waiting to be asked!"

You're "betting", or in other words, "assuming" or "guessing", that's why she was always on the set.
She's "probably" waiting to be asked? So you don't know, you're just assuming she's waiting to be asked.

Your first post is ALL assumptions.

Everybody knows Todd is a "man's man" so you think old Sarah Poo would let her "man" on a dancing show?

18. Margaret Cho claims Sarah forced Bristol to go on DWTS
"I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it," Bristol's onetime fellow contesant wrote on her blog yesterday, in an entry titled "Pistol Whipped."

"Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she 'owed' it to her to do DWTS so that 'America would fall in love with her again' and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way," Cho continued. "Instead of being supposedly 'handicapped' by the presence of her teen mom daughter, now Bristol is going to be an 'asset'—a celebrity beloved for her dancing."

This theory, plus the one about Mama Grizzly's Tea Party supporters stacking the vote in Bristol's favor (until it really counted, anyway), equals yuck all around.

Cho, who was eliminated third, says she's sure ("but who knows anything really") ABC wasn't in on the mother-daughter pressure cooker and that Bristol herself is a "warm and incredibly supportive" person.

25. Hope he doesn't. I halfway like old Todd.
I'm not sure why; maybe because he shuts the hell up and just lets that little Tasmanian Devil spin. I could see him in a paso doble (yum) but if he slaps anyone's butt or does that shoulder shimmy I might have to tear my eyeballs out.

(except or the teabaggers) dropping that show faster than Palin drops her G's.
