9. It's actually far more beautiful ... the colors are so intense it almost hurts the eyes.

I really wouldn't have been able to imagine. The island of Tetiaroa is a coral atoll and the sand is blindingly white coral sand. The water is an electric blue that's like nothing I've ever seen. It's absolutely the perfect temperature in the water - about 84 deg. F. And the scuba diving is terrific with about 100' viz.

I spent time in Papeete, Tahiti and visited Bora Bora and Moorea, only for a day each sadly. It is impossible to truly describe the stunning beauty found throughout French Polynesia, words and even pictures are inadequate, imo.

I know that four times a year DU runs a fund drive, I put a dollar here and a few cents there and by the time the fund drive comes around I've got a donation put together that is relatively painfree.
Without this place I would have given up a long time ago, if it takes grovel bot to bite people on the butt then I'll put up with it, it'll all be over Monday, then in the third week of August we can do it all over again.
