Folks Civil Unions just passedthe Illinois House. 2 Republicans came out in support
The civil unions bill has passed the House by a vote of 61-52-2.

10. Absolutely right.
A Governor Brady would have vetoed this.

The Senate STILL has to vote on it. But everything I'm reading says it will pass there, as well.

6. Excellent! And I'm reading that the Senate will follow as well.
Tomorrow, I'm calling Sara Feingoltz' office...she was a co-sponsor of the civil unions bill.

This passes...and we wait a few years, so that people will see that civil unions won't cause fire to rain down from the sky, plagues of locusts won't sweep across the land, etc....then we go for marriage. :-)
