1. So it seems...
While tragic, this is a low-probability event, sensationalized by the news.

2. You're an apologist for guns in the hands of the public.
This is typical news for our RKBA America.

Ridiculous to defend the indisputable underlying cause.

6. Ah, that explains my "wtf" moment when reading cleanhippie's post.
Thanks.

When people aren't safe from guns in churches and funeral homes--well, that's not a world I care to live in.

8. So you're accusing him of being an apologist for the US constitution?

You can like the US Constitution or not.

9. The willful misinterpretation of an obsolete provision you mean?
The American Civil War rendered that anachronistic bit of originalism quite thoroughly moot.

11. I don't think it's a gun issue more than a mental health issue.
That kid up here, IMHO did not want to hurt those students, rather he wanted to commit suicide in a very public manner. Marinette High School has had a problem with suicide in the past decade or so. There needs to be better mental health infrastructure in this country.

14. So you're saying my father is crazy becuse he keeps several hunting rifles and shotguns at his house
BTW, he takes time out of his retirement to teach hunter safety classes every fall in which he teaches safe firearms handling.

I have been looking to purchase an old .303 Bolt-action Lee-Enfield SMLE for hunting and target shooting. (And not having much luck, Mosin-Nagants can be had anywhere around here, but no fscking Enfields around for ANY price!) does that make me mentally ill?

16. Thats EXACTLY what he is saying.
Its laughable, the discussion about mental health, considering the source.

18. Oh fuck, I'm nuts. (By the way, the guy in your avatar had more than a passing aquaintance ...
with guns and ammo. Why are you paying homage to a lunatic?)

17. You're an apologist for banning Constitutional rights.
Should I even bother to respond to your laughable claims, again?

You ignore the data. You ignore the reality. You ignore everything except what you want, even though you perpetuate claims that have no basis in reality and ideas that have been thoroughly debunked both by data and real-life circumstances.

Ridiculous to ignore the underlying cause, and it ain't "access to guns and ammo".

3. It's not "low-probability" for those who are now dead
It's not "low-probability" for those loved ones and friends who will never get over this.

Keep trying to sell this as completely normal. Those of us who aren't parroting NRA talking points know it's not.

5. I think his point was that it's NOT normal.
And I'd agree, shootings like this are very unusual.

7. depends--could he have been tried as an adult in his state, had he lived?
apparently, the wisdom of age varies state-by-state.

10. In Wisconsin? Yes, a 15 year old can be tried as an adult...
I can see the Republican DAs up here wanting to try him as an adult.
