DoD Sez: At Least Four More Years In Afghainstan
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (DoD? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.
To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

Read all about Fair Use here. It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: Let's do the math.

We currently have 100,000 American military in Afghanistan which costs around $100 billion dollars a year.

We currently have at least 50,000 mercenaries in Afghanistan which costs us AT LEAST $50 billion dollars a year.

We are paying other nations to keep their troops in Afghanistan which cost us ????? dollars a year.

Meanwhile people in this country don't have jobs, are homeless and hungry, and foot the bill for this crap. :grr:

In recent weeks, senior U.S. officials stepped back from 2011 as the official beginning of the final phase of the American-led Afghanistan operation. Here soldiers wait for transportation in Afghanistan in November 2008.
