They're digging up the oil here.


They left a couple days ago. The oil is back. I watched a pelican die because the only wildlife rehab center near me closes at 4:30pm. I went back with gloves and soap and stuff but it wouldn't let me near it. I declined to take a photo.

Did it come from the ocean?

At least it looks like there are a few people working. And i am glad they are digging. But not good if after they do all this the oil comes again. Is it tar balls?

4. It's not tarballs.

It's that kind of muck and seaweed and light sheen and crap that comes up onto shore covered in oil. Maybe a small handful of tarballs scattered about. The sand is a kind of coffee colour.
