Poll question: How engaged are you in local political action?
Edited on Mon Nov-29-10 04:09 PM by mahina
Given that there is no Savior and that we the people must do the work if we hope to turn things around, I'd like to learn a little more about our current community here at DU.

I don't think you can select more than one option, so please, if more than one pertain, make a comment sharing more information.

Mahalo!

2. I don't know if they know me by name, but they know me by sight

5. Cool! What committee are you on?
When Democrats in your state legislature vote against your platform, does the party do anything about it?

We just kicked somebody out, finally...

7. You need a choice for people who phone federal and/or local officials on specific issues.
There's also some straight out freelance actions going on too.

8. My Congressperson knows me by name
and I usually get a hug when he sees me. I was one of the original volunteers on his first campaign.

was a delegate to the State Democratic Convention
am a member of the Democratic Town Committee
my state rep knows me by name; I've met and talked with my state senator a couple of times but I don't think he remembers me-yet.
I met my Congressperson once an I've also gone to his office on an issue, but he doesn't know me.
