I encourage everyone in Illinois to contact their legislators and tell them to support the bill, if you don't live in Illinois but have friends and family here reach out to them and ask them to contact their legislators.

This is a big week, the Catholic church and others are organizing against this legislation, so its important to mobilize folks in favor of it.

2. When will the Catholic Church start protesting Long John Silver.
Deuteronomy 14:9-10 says:
9 These ye shall eat of all that are in the waters: all that have fins and scales shall ye eat:
10 And whatsoever hath not fins and scales ye may not eat; it is unclean unto you.

Hypocritical bastards. Comeon there are plenty of resturants like LJS and Red Lobster that serve "foods in the water that don't have fins and scales." Come on pope, get with it.

3. I'm really sick of the Catholic Church sticking a nose in my right
to make a contract with MY government. The concept of civil unions is essentially none of their business. Frankly, maybe we should have a bill up to refuse state recognition of marriages performed in Catholic churches and watch them scream while the rest of the state says "Let the people vote!"
