Where Are The Jobs?
I have what is becoming an increasingly naive notion that in a just society there should be jobs for everybody who wants to work commensurate with their experience and education and no job should pay so little that the person doing it can't live independently.

3. Obviously, we haven't
cut taxes for those making $250k+ enough yet. Since they're the job creators, we should just cut their income taxes to zero and then we'll have 100% employment, yes? It's all so simple! :sarcasm:

4. in a just and civil society...
I have always felt that should be the reality... when younger, I bought into the tale some; I always believed if I was willing there would always be a job for me... about 6 years ago everything proved my theory wrong and now I watch my honest, willing to work hard kids struggle to get work... I am extremely frustrated.

My daughter and I are starting a business... we'll see how that goes.

8. What is a job?
It's work done for money. Other work (cleaning and cooking for family and friends etc.) is not a job.

Real purpose of jobs (aka wage slavery) is to steal natural resources and fruits of labour (food, clothes and shelter) for those who create and control money, aka 'banksters' who do nothing but create and control money (abstract fetish of power and control). Steal for the top layer of the hierarchical social system from the bottom layers.

I cannot call any society based on hierarchic stealing and money control - and hence 'jobs' - just.

Lets get rid of jobs - and banksters and their monopoly money and the hierarchic social system - and just work for the benefit of each other and the greater whole. Work less, not more, and enjoy life - each according our abilities so that each get what they need.

PS: mindless consumerism is not what we need, that is what the system needs to keep on destroying our common foundation of life. Just our basic needs satisfied. Work less, no unnecessary and especially harmfull work in the name of "job creation" (bankers, advertizers, bureaucrats etc. etc. etc polluters of our material and spiritual well being).
