1. Why Amazon, why not an appeal to buy locally from independents unless a person lives 100 miles into

the country. Why don't we support indepedents? Sorry to digress. I get upset everytime I see a local passed over.

2. You don't have to buy it on Amazon, but Amazon posts a lot of

information about specific books.

MAINLY because of the worthwhile reviews, both professional and from the readers.

Otherwise, I fully agree with you, although by now it's probably a lost cause. Of necessity, I now do all my shopping from the internet, with much of it from Amazon. This includes ordering groceries for apartment door delivery from Amazon Fresh. I also order a lot of books from Audible.com, which is now owned by Amazon. Walmart is the ONLY outfit that I won't give a plug to!
