Through all the joy and pain, they have been the greatest gift I have ever known. How anyone could feel "less" about girls is beyond me. It's evidence to how traditions and customs can make us sick in our minds.

So it's that good ol' ol' time religion: Old Testament rules spelling out punishments and debasements against women. Passed down from generation to generaton in tradition and ritual.
