I have to fly, because of my business. I will not, of course, undergo X-ray imagining. I'm too old to chance it, healthwise.

So, I have no choice, either, about being groped. I will opt out of the full body imaging, and I will be groped. I cannot change that fact, if I want to fly.

But, I can change my attitude towards the groping. I plan to become as sexually turned on as possible and to let everyone near me know that I am sexually excited. I will turn down a "private" screening. (I'm not shy, you know.) Whatever they want to do to me will have to be "full frontal view," in public. I hope that the TSA agents don't mind being laughed at--I've got a very loud mouth, and I'm actually pretty funny when I get started. I hope they enjoy the show.

I'm not trying to tell anyone else what to do. Everyone who has to fly will make their own choice, I'm sure. I plan to have some fun with this, and maybe, make a difference in the meantime.

2. arms out, head back.... bring it on, baby. oh and
i climax easily, could get ...... messy

i dont have to fly. told hubby a week ago, that is it, not flying. i basically stopped when they said they were putting in the 9 scanners across nation. but put foot down the other day. told him, he and the kids could go, but i wasnt.

last night he said no flying for him. was a silent protest. surprised me because he is so into traveling, and mellow, accepting of rules.

3. If I don't fly, it hurts MY pocketbook....
So, fly, I will. But on MY TERMS, not theirs. They want to grope me? I'll direct them how to really get me turned on, baby.

4. I fly for work a lot, and we'll see. I've been going through the scanners.
Not the pat down.

My brother was patted down on our way to Memphis from D.C. He had forgotten to take the change out of one of his pockets. He said it was o.k.

We'll see...

5. I went through the scanner 3 wks ago, and had a dental XRay - I got more rads at the dentist
Don't really care if some bored TSA officer peers through my underpants. This whole thing is a ridiculous distraction, IMHO.

I already was -

Some months ago in SLC. I was embarrassed, but behaved like a sheeple and let them scan me. I had no idea you could see every detail of the human body. Education is a good thing. I'd never let them do it again. We need to shove the 4th Amendment in their faces. Last time I checked, we were still using The Constitution - well, most of it, anyway.

On edit: I should say after having several mammograms, which is pretty much the most embarrassing and invasive thing I've gone through, you just sort of block this kind of thing out. We shouldn't, though - in a doctor's office, maybe, but not in a goddamned airport.

6. I too have to fly for business
I will find out Monday how I will deal with the scanner.

We can protest it, and opt out of it but either way the TSA and ultimately the terrorist are winning this war because we have to fly for business.

I would not fly on a personal measure right now just as protest to the scanner/groping. I will drive where I need to go for personal travel.

7. Radiation damage is cummulative, being younger would be worse
Edited on Wed Nov-24-10 09:14 AM by HereSince1628
as you will receive more exposures over your lifetime.

BTW, I remember from the way-back that frequent fliers would subject themselves to more radiation because at altitude there is less atmosphere and therefore less protection from incoming radiation. I haven't any idea if that is still thought to be true.

8. Maybe I am being too simply minded..
But I figure it will be like my first visit to a public bathroom as a child.
I was nervous at first, then it became apart of my everyday life.

9. I was so proud of people here in Columbus, Ohio last evening.
Our local late news featured reporters at the airport
meeting flights and checking with passengers on their
reaction to the procedures. To a person the people
in a very pleasant and dignified manner answered
questions. Everyone interviewed had opted for the scanner.
Two on that flight had been pulled aside from the
line for the pat down. One lady and one man said
the pat down did not take more than 3 minutes and
they had no complaints. They all saw this as part
of effort to keep us safe.

10. I've already been through them a couple of times.
I fly for business too. Not worried about any health risk from the scanners. Just don't feel they are necessary, but I'll go through them.

11. I Had It At The Toronto Airport
I went through it. I'll take my chances with the health risks. I've had MS for 17 years. I'm not all that anxious to live in pain another 30 years. If i do, i do. If the scanner kills me a few years early, what are you gonna do? (Yeah, i know that's highly fatalistic.)

I concur with those who think we've gone overboard with security. But, at this point, i just want to get on the plane, get to where i'm going, do my job, and get back home.

I don't like it, but i'll just do it.

13. I don't like it, either, but I won't "just do it," either.
I will not go through this without voicing some sort of protest. I think that most people have the attitude of "I don't like it, but I'll just do it," too. That's the way to the ovens, as far as I'm concerned.

15. I suggest bringing along
a small micro-cassette tape recorder on which there's some sleazy Porno music...

fire that puppy up and give 'em all a real show.

It would be kind of neat if there could be someone on the sidelines recording the whole thing on a cell phone or something...for our viewing enjoyment scientific analysis of your experiment.

Most people wouldn't have the nerve to make a public spectacle out of themselves this way, but I. JUST. DON'T. CARE. You wanna feel me up? I'm gonna let everyone know what a sicko you are.

23. You have to go to the TSA kiosk at the end of the concourse for that.
You can either get one copy, or they now have a package of one 8x10, one 5x7, and four wallet-size to give to family and loved ones. Only $29.95, most major credit cards accepted.:-)
