I blame Nader for the mess we're in. ...and it's not just me. He is an ego maniac who cares about nothing except making his own head bigger.

One of my closest friends used to work with him. ...a Nader raider.. He even wrote a book with him. My friend is Burt Solomon. The book is called "The Damming of the West"...about dams...not hell...<g> According to Burt, Nader's ego, even way back then, was almost intolerable...filled any room he was in. With an ego like that, it's hard to trust the motive, especially when, IF NOT FOR THAT FUCKWAD, GORE WOULD BE PRESIDENT AND WE WOULDN'T BE AT WAR.

All these bodies...ours and theirs...you can lay them at Nader's feet.

I used to love Ralph Nader and he certainly has a right to speak his mind. In fact, that might have been helpful. Instead, his ego won out and he put Bush in the White House. My main objection is that blaming him for the 2000 loss takes the focus off of the true criminals who stole that election. Let's see..The Republicans wanted funding for the war, so the "opposition" Democrats gave it to them and declared it a Victory. So did Bush...and the other Republicans. Bush said we have to be patient..so did the Democrats. He said we have to "support the troops" by giving the pentagon more money...so did the Democrats..

The Dems failure to have us out of Iraq within 4 months of assuming control of Congress, including a couldn't-be-slimmer caucus majority in the Senate, should be considered abject failure. God knows that Nader and the Green Party have certainly lead the way on the issue. You can't turn on the TV without seeing a Green championing the cause.

Sad as it is, we have a two-party system, and a third party almost certainly acts as a spoiler... and apparently a whiner for 5+ years ongoing, as well. ;)
