4. Last Year, I Posted This Picture On My Facebook Page.............

..........and a right-winger accused me of posting "anti-Christian blasphemy." I was like WHAT??? I thought Christians were supposed to KNOW that Joseph wasn't the father of the baby Jesus. I mean, I already knew that religious whackos had no sense of humor, but this one just floored me.

5. Santa was grateful for the event that gave meaning to his life.
This birth inspired the homeless and alcoholic washed up toy maker to make a go of it from a new base at the North Pole.

I want a porcelain Baby Jesus playing with a toy Santa. Or would a dreidel be more appropriate?
Or a GI Joe.

Christmas is weird.

10. For a really WTF xmas - check out this trailer.
It's awesome.

http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi192256281/

On Christmas Eve in Finland, Santa Claus is unearthed in an archaeological dig. Soon after, children start disappearing, leading a boy and his father to capture Santa and, with the help of fellow hunters, they look to sell him back to the corporation that sponsored the dig. And then there's Santa's elves, who are determined to free their leader...

11. Oh, I've GOT to see that.
US release 12/3/10.

Why do I suspect it won't be playing at the multi-plex?

16. Makes sense.
Who says only righties understand metaphor?

Santa = commercialism, greed in Xmas, all the secular aspects.

Tammuz -- er, "Jesus" -- is the religious side.

"Let's have the secular side of the holiday bow down to the religious side of the holy day."

(This, coming from a Xian that hasn't actually observed Xmas for, oh, 35 years now because he believes the entire affair is utterly misguided.)
