Just watched clips from Palin's serial campaign commercial and came away with a strong impression
that this is the first time she's ever done some of these outdoor crotchgrabbing things. I highly doubt she's ever been that close to a halibut that wasn't wrapped in plastic at the supermarket or that she has done much shooting or hunting. And as for getting close to bears, I'll bet that was a first too.

Also, I was starting to think that maybe the mutual disrespect shown by her and her children would be a turn off, but then I recalled that it is chic to be snarky and disrespectful to one another right now. After all it is being marketed in reality shows. When young people like the Jersey Shores crew and mothers like those in any Real Housewife series are touted as desirable to emulate, then we may very well end up with our first Survivor president.

The citizens of this nation and its media nauseates me sometimes.

1. I especially like the part when they see the bear ...
... and she practically shits herself. I thought she WAS "Mama Grizzly" and a "Pitbull with Lipstick" etc etc ... so hop in that water and take care of that bear, Mountaineer Barbie!!

Oh, wait ... you're only tough when you're in a helicopter with a gun? Or talking to some sycophant on FAUX? Hmmm ....

2. Looks to me most of that is staged...fake reality show

she fires a gun, they cut away so you never actually see her hitting anything in the frame
she beats a fish over the head, but they cut away so you never actually see her kill the fish

3. Then the comment about how much it hurt to be slapped by the
fish really sounded like she had never done this before.

4. As an avid angler, it's clear to me she doesn't fish often
I can tell by the way she holds her rod. It's not the grip or action of someone that has experience.

5. This Show Will Do Her More Harm Than Good...
Remember, she's a celebrity personality...this is her true "natural environment"...an artificial teevee show attempting to glorify her artificial personality. For the majority who laugh at her, there's a ton of material that will make one hell of a campaign commercial and the longer this thing goes on there'll be more grist for that mill. For those brainwashed into believing she's a credible candidate, they feel this way no matter what she does...but we're seeing that not even a majority of the rushpublicans. Try as the oorporate media may...you can't put lipstick on this grifter...the lack of any substance is so glaring.

In full disclosure, I haven't watched a second of this waste of electrons and have no intentions...but I do get a kick out of the fallout. This is a case of massive overexposure.

6. A year ago in "Vanity Fair", Levi Johnston claimed that Palin's never used a weapon.
There was an unused rifle under her bed.

8. Very interesting observations - for the country's sake, I hope that you are wrong that
most people will find that mutual disrespect good. But, I wonder if you are right. After all, the population did not respond to the obviously close Gore family, where high school sweetheart Tipper was an excellent photographer and a serious advocate on mental illness, or to the impressive amount of mutual respect and admiration that the various Heinz sons and Kerry daughters had for each other and their parent and step-parent. As the Heinz sons were all at least near the en of college when their mother remarried, their close relationship with Kerry says a lot of good about him. Instead, Karen Hughes wrote a very bratty speech for the Bush daughters to give while Laura perfected her portrayal of Stepford wife - and, politics aside, more of the American population were comfortable with the Bushes.

Now, there are so many happy, loving photos of the Obamas - where the joy is obvious in their sparking eyes. I really can't see how that serene family life is not a complete contrast to what would be called the troubled Palin family if Sarah Palin were not famous. I know kids make mistakes when growing up, but their is a pattern in her family that shows that something is missing. For all the beauty of Alaska, and all their wealth, the clips do not show thoughtful, happy, kids with any idealism, goals, or vision for what they want out of life. Not to mention, there is NO WAY that Michelle would consider putting her two lovely kids on a reality show - and that protectionist behavior has been the norm for every Democrat (and republican) in the past.

9. How many clips from this 'show' will be used in campaign commercials?

By both sides.

"What Sarah Palin will do to the economy" - show clip of her clubbing a fish.

10. She's already given her future GOP rivals a soundbite to sink her
Something about how she would rather be out in the great outdoors than in an office somewhere.
