How the 'Dancing' vote was hacked (Go back to Alaska Bristol, You Suck!
http://cosmiclog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/11/19/5495782-how-the-dancing-vote-was-hacked?gt1=43001

"Lord have mercy, I voted for 3 hours online! I got 300 in," one Palin fan wrote in a comment on the HillBuzz blog, which is leading the charge on Bristol Palin's behalf.

ABC tries to safeguard against such abuse. "Computers must allow cookies, have Javascript enabled and have the latest version of Flash installed," the company explains on its Web site. The implication is that cookies are used to determine whether the computer user has already voted. An integrity assessment is conducted against each online vote, including security measures that are meant to catch and remove fraudulent voting.

9. It's not about DWTS for me, but how they are promoting Sarah Palin on this show
and how her daughter is unqualified to win, as Palin was unqualified to run for VP.

Unlike other contestants, Sarah has been pro mo'd on Bristol's segments.

It's all about creating the Palin image.

Bristol Palin is being touted as a young innocent thing while the reality is that she is an adult who has a past of drinking, drugs and sex. Throw in the attack from this adult mother on a high school boy using vulgar language and ignoring homophobic slurs from her sister.

She should have been taken off the show for that incident. She is a hypocrite like her mother and part of the Palin machine that is encouraging hate and division in this country.

They get a pass, promotion and a whitewash from the media.

11. Exactly.
Bristol Palin has NO place on this show, not in this particular political climate. It is, by default, giving Mama a lot of free airtime in the runup to 2012. I have the same complaint about this "Ma and Pa Palin and Their Adorable Kids Roughing It in the Wilds of Alaska" crapshow, too.

Name me one other potential presidential candidate that has gotten so much free face time before a primary season. I never fell for hard sells and I sure ain't going to now, but there are a lot of gullible people out there who will respond favorably to this personality makeover/manipulation.

2. If Palin wins this, I will never watch DWTS again
Of course I have never watched before either, so things won't change a lot for me.

5. Its akin to watching Paint Dry
Mrs saigon watches that stuff every week. I too watched for a while.

It can be elegant and entertaining--- But watching that COW prance around is like watching a Drunken woman at a Polish Wedding doing the Chicken Dance Polka

4. So one has to clean their cookies every time
they vote. Sounds like a big hassle to me to go to that much trouble for someone who's clearly making a fool out of herself on the dancing floor.

6. I kinda feel sorry for people like this
It's really pretty pathetic that they have so little in their lives that they will spend hours voting up a DWTS poll. These people whined that Obama supporters were cult like.

I would love to find one Obama supporter who spent hours voting up some meaningless internet poll.

7. I can't figure out why anyone on earth would care about this...
Seriously, why do people care so much about Bristol, Willow, Levi, etc.

It is sad that we have become such a star struck, celebrity driven culture that people obsess over what any of these people say or do.

Bristol can win this stupid show ever year from now till eternity and I wouldn't give a crap.

10. I don't think ABC is as diligent as it says it is.
On another TV Internet site, someone (who thought that the how-tos of this power-voting scam were a big secret), while explaining how this was done, said that at one point he/she was doing the same thing in seasons past by entering outrageous, bogus e-mail addresses that apparently went through no questions asked. I'm sure now ABC is taking a closer look at things, but obviously not so much so during the course of this season.

The network obviously has to look at things before the next round starts and make appropriate changes.

(And yes, I make no apologies for liking this show and watching it, up until this season.)

13. So Quitter is pondering '12. Sounds like the vote hacking software is being dry-run.
I'm only slightly keeding.
