3. No way. Either you want the tsa to at least try to keep you safe or not. But that is just me. I'm
very crime adverse having been a victim of a crime. I don't want to see 400 people blown outta the sky. So flying is now a big production. It used to be a big deal back in the day. When it was a new industry. Now it is a big deal again.

11. You Really Think These Procedures Keep You Safe?
Or were they designed to add another dime to Cheroff's pockets. Israeli security pros say they are ineffective and pointless.

25. 30,000+ die in car crashes a year.
are you afraid to get in a car? you're a 1000 times more likely to die in a car crash on the way to the airport than you are likely to die in an airplane-accidentally or deliberately.

6. Unfortunately, I don't have a choice.
I will be putting up with whatever farcical and overreaching bullshit they subject me to.

I will just observe the absurdity of the false sense of security and ridiculousness of it all.

7. No
I don't see what the big deal is. I have not followed the news closely because I have been abroad for the last couple of weeks. But on my way out I went through 2 US airports security systems and one European one, nothing particularly offensive happened. And I have been patted down in the past in European airports, and while not the most pleasant of experiences, as I said, I do not see why it's supposed to be such a big deal. I do not enjoy the privacy intrusion when I go t oa doctor either, but it's needed so I do it. Same thing I think. The only relevant issue to me is how effective these security measures are, and I have no idea what the answer is.

10. Barring family emergency, yes.
There are alternatives to flying to visit my children.

My parents, on the other hand, are in their late 80's and 3000 miles away. If something happens requiring me to get there quickly -- or even just for a visit, since I don't get a lot of vacation time -- I have no alternative but to fly.

12. Yes, I'm avoiding flying if at all possible.
I may pass on a national conference next year if this is not resolved; it's too far to fly but on principal I want to make my point and boycott the airlines until this is resolved.

14. There needs to be a No Fly day.
An organized boycott. One day or one week boycott would hit the airlines hard enough for them to lobby.

15. I just flew to seattle
Let's see... 2.5 hour flight or 2 day drive. Yeah... I think I'll take the flight and deal with a little extra security. I wasn't subjected to an x-ray machine or any additional pat-downs in either LAX or SEA.

16. No
I travel quite a lot, really, family issues and stuff. I understand that people have issues with the security measures. But honestly, my modesty is not as important as the security of everyone else.

I would object, however, to searches involving my private areas, especially if done in public. I'd ask for a private pat-down, with chaperones. But I would cooperate - I have nothing to hide.

If I have to fly any time soon I'm dressing like Richard Simmons and demanding a pat-down. Tight tank-top cut above my belly button over dolphin shorts over flip-flops.

I'm going to be a YouTube sensation.
