Congressman Issa himself has a net worth of over $300 MILLION.

And we WONDER why they support tax cuts for the rich?

Edited to add: Why the hell would any millionaire worry about people on unemployment?

9. That's not much money. I wouldn't screw over Americans for so little
I'd expect much much more to get behind outsourcing, chopping unemployment, Pay or Die healthcare, going after SS and Medicare

10. With That Kind Of Earnings/Wealth
They could work as Congress critters for free and still experience zero hardships. Yet they complain over minimum wage earners talking like those poor wage earners are bleeding the gov't coffers dry.

12. It's strictly a part time job.
I think they should have to move to DC and stay in dormitories for all but two weeks a year and other paid holidays. They would get room and board and whatever they make now. If the people there now have a problem so what.

17. So their constituents in, Oregon, can only meet with them during that two weeks?

It will sure make running against them for election a treat for the challenger.

And do their spouses and children also live in the dormitory?

13. That would be why they consider the poor
and what used to be the middle class to be parasites. I don't wonder why anymore. None of them know what real life is like. Overpaid, pampered bastards, and we pay for it.

16. ?
You can't relate to things you don't understand and to truly understand something you need to live it...I don't think most politicians have ever been unemployed.

18. net worth per year?
income or net worth? Latter is not an annual figure. btw if it is net worth then consider how averages work. Issa's 300m you mention would start out all 435 with over 700k in net worth before any of them had a dime. If Bill Gates walks into a McDonalds everybody there on average is a billionaire.
