U.S. Generals Moving the "War on Terror" to Africa
We all knew this was coming. The War on Terror is quickly becoming an American world war. The targets? Anyone anti-American despite the fact that no one in Africa is an immediate danger to American national security. They're using some bloody pirates on the coast of East Africa as a pretext for a military campaign?? That's the best they have? They should also mention that they're afraid of China's competitive goals in Africa...I think that's what this is really about. Erik Prince has also mentioned Africa as a target. There are problems growing in Nigeria over oil revenues (of course the people aren't really benefiting from it) as well.

1. No surprise here, it was bound to happen as soon as China started
making inroads there. This is more naked aggression to counter Chinese influence.

2. al-Qaida was formed in Sudan
ben-Laden moved to Afghanistan only after US pressure. Northern Africa has always been a terrorist hot spot.

3. tax dollars???
Sorry but the money to put our troops into another country isn't going to help our economy or create any more jobs. I'm not an expert but I'm pretty sure Africa isn't a concern when it comes to the War on Terror.
