Poll question: Transportation Security Administrator John Pistole should be removed
Edited on Thu Nov-18-10 04:18 PM by DainBramaged
by the president, ask him for his resignation, he is appointed.

Pistole came to TSA as a 26-year veteran of the FBI with extensive national security and counterterrorism experience. After the tragic events of September 11, 2001, he was put in charge of the FBI’s greatly expanded counterterrorism program, eventually becoming the FBI’s Executive Assistant Director for Counterterrorism and Counterintelligence. In 2004, Pistole was named Deputy Director for the FBI.

He's an FBI lifer and Lieberman LOVED him during confirmations.

1. No. What would be the point?
You have a suggestion for a replacement? It pretty much has to be someone with a federal law enforcement background. Who do you suggest?

2. Public rage will focus on him and thus the administration. He's a liability.

3. The White House should dump him now
The public outrage isn't going away. Although this policy goes all the way to the White House, the administration should pretend it was a mistake and they are going to correct by getting rid of the scanners and the "grope policy." This policy is directly traceable to Chertoff and General Hayden who have total disrespect for the Bill of Rights.
