Missouri voted YES! on Prop B -- don't let them take it away.
Dear madmax,

"Just two weeks ago, you helped make history for puppy mill dogs, with a victory on Proposition B. Tens of thousands of dogs in the nation’s largest puppy mill state will finally have a better life, thanks to your work.

But, unbelievably, some politicians and special interests are already talking about disrespecting and undoing the will of Missouri voters. The puppy mill lobbyists have persuaded several state legislators that direct democracy dozen’t matter, and these lawmakers plan to do everything they can to repeal or weaken Prop B and place tens of thousands of dogs at risk!

Please help us fight back and protect this win for the dogs -- donate now to preserve the decision made by Missouri voters and keep Prop B in place.

We’ve had to deal with adversity and challenges throughout the Prop B campaign. The puppy mill industry and their allies ran a scorched-earth campaign of fear-mongering and false rhetoric, trying to persuade voters that Prop B was about more than just establishing common-sense standards for the care of dogs at large-scale commercial breeding operations. They said it was about ending livestock agriculture and pet ownership, and while that line of argument fooled some of the people of Missouri, it did not carry the day with the majority. We now face another hurdle, and we can only succeed on behalf of the dogs with your continued support."

Don’t let the people who abuse puppies for profit undermine the will of Missouri voters -- donate now to help us fight back against their cynical and underhanded attempts to repeal Prop B. If you care about dogs, if you care about democracy, please help us today."

I don't live in Missouri - no matter. These puppies and their 'parents' suffer terribly, these puppies are transported to various pet shops and suppliers throughout the country. Missouri is a major puppy mill breeding state. It's important for all of us to do what we can. Those who live in MO by their vote. For myself and others, we can't vote but, we may be able to donate a few dollars to help the good fight. My support and friendship to all our friends who live in MO and who care about this issue as well. Vote in favor of the animals best interest for those of us who can't vote. :grouphug:

2. Damn!
I live in PA, but received daily reminders about this vote. I thought the good guys had this wrapped up, but when it comes to greed..........

For the record: Puppy mills are one of the worst evils that the human race can inflict on animals. IMHO

3. Puppy Mills and Michael Vick
The Mommie's and the Puppies, love and thank you. We have to speak for those who can't speak for themselves.

Was so proud of the Rutger's College Students who during the 80's (I believe) were really out there pushing a ban on vivisection and cosmetic testing on animals. They plasterd New Brunswick, NJ with posters, signs, and all maner of literature not just for a few weeks or months either. they stead fastly kept the pressure on.

Saw him (Vick) on TV the other day and I wanted to shoot the TV, like that guy that shot his TV because Bristol Palin got on his last nerve.
