Caution: You write it, you own it
Edited on Wed Nov-17-10 11:18 PM by Uben
The knee-jerk reactions by people to what amounts to political opinion are running pretty rampant around here these days.

I certainly understand frustrations are mounting for some of you here, but I ask you to judge Obama by what he does, not what someone says he's going to do. After reading that link about what he has accomplished thus far with a "just say no" republican mantra, I'm pretty damned amazed. I also realize it's going to be exponentially harder to get anything done since the house take-over, and will weigh that heavily when exercising my criticisms. New strategies will be formed and executed. Some will succeed, some will fail, and the president will be judged ultimately by the totality of his administration's accomplishments, not a single issue.

3. Obama 2012, Dems win back House.
You see it here.

The Tea Party Movement will get too unruly for the corporate elites who tried to use it to consolidate right-wing government. Racism and religious bigotry are not good for business in the end. The anger that the Tea Party types have shown at budget deficits and ethnic and religious minorities could easily turn toward Big Business. Right-wing populism is no less dangerous to Big Business than is left-wing populism.

4. Recommended.
I think it is important to recognize that not all of the democrats in Congress are supporting President Obama, as well. Congress was broken in the mid-1990s. Barack Obama has to deal with the system as it is, not how we (or he) wishes it were.
