I only have one question. Where the F were you when Bush was declaring the 4th amendment null and void in the war on terra? And when did you guys figure out the Bill of Rights has more than 1 1/2 amendments? Until now, it did seem they knew the 2nd and the 1st for them but no else.

6. Bob Cesca nails it at HuffPo.
When Your 'Junk' Is Touched at the Airport, Thank a Republican.

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/bob-cesca/when-your-junk-is-touched_b_785138.html

The Right is only moaning about this now because they want to lay this on the Democrats and score political points. Try to make this another Democratic Big Government example. But Homeland Security and this type of ridiculous security is owned by them. This is totally the brainchild of the Bush administration. And Bob includes some choice quotes that reflect how they sold our civil rights down the tubes back then-

"You have no civil liberties if you are dead." -- Senator Pat Roberts, R-KS

"None of your civil liberties matter much after you're dead." -- Senator "Big John" Cornyn, R-TX

"Our civil liberties are worthless if we are dead! If you are dead and pushing up daisies, if you're sucking dirt inside a casket, do you know what your civil liberties are worth? Zilch, zero, nada." -- Rush Limbaugh

Sounds like they were all on message then...now they want their privacy rights back? Most Duers were screaming about this back then...not because we were political opportunists but because this is how fascism gets established. As usual the rubes will get played by the same people who made this possible.

7. The teabaggers are a very recent phenomena ...

Birth of a Tea Party

April 08, 2010|By MARTIN WISCKOL

The Tea Party movement got its name from the Boston Tea Party, in which colonists protested taxation without representation. The modern day activists soon gave their name the "backronym" of "Taxed Enough Already."

Key moments in the birth of the movement:

Jan. 9, 2009: Part-time stocks trader Graham Makihoniuk complained about government bailouts on market-ticker.org and called on forum members to "Mail a tea bag to Congress." His post went viral.

Feb. 11, 2009: Fox Business Networks's Dave Ramsey criticized the federal TARP bailout and said, "It's time for a tea party."

I'm not a member nor do I know any members, however it is somewhat unfair to criticize them for not doing something before they were born.

8. True but I do believe they were the same crowd who questioned our patriotism when we objected to...
the unitary executive shit under Bush. I'd be willing to bet they all love Cheney, too.

12. I do know that I was upset was the loss of rights under ...
Bush and Cheney.

And I have been very disappointed that many of the policies continue under the Obama administration.

To be fair, I have to admit that the conservatives and Republicans didn't seen as angry with the loss of rights under Bush as Democrats. Now almost everybody seems to be pissed off.
