TSA - Sexual Assault
Edited on Wed Nov-17-10 03:41 PM by Liberal_in_LA
TSA - Sexual Assault

I have an incident to share that occurred late Friday afternoon, November 12, 2010, around 5:15 in the Dayton International Airport.

-------------

So I placed him into his stroller. She instructed me, “Spread your feet apart and hold your arms out to the side.” I obliged.

She patted my left arm, my right arm, my upper back and my lower back. She then said, “I need to reach in and feel along the inside of your waistband.”

She felt along my waistline, moved behind me, then proceeded to feel both of my buttocks. She reached from behind in the middle of my buttocks towards my vagina area.

She did not tell me that she was going to touch my buttocks, or reach forward to my vagina area.

She then moved in front of my and touched the top and underneath portions of both of my breasts.

She did not tell me that she was going to touch my breasts.

She then felt around my waist. She then moved to the bottoms of my legs.

She then felt my inner thighs and my vagina area, touching both of my labia.

She did not tell me that she was going to touch my vagina area or my labia.

She then told me that I could put my shoes on and I asked if I could pick up the baby, she replied Yes.

2. Vagina is inside. The word this person is looking for is vulva. I recommend that we all become
familiar and comfortable with this term, because a lot of vulvas are going to be touched over the next few weeks unless we do something about it.

it is your vulva.

3. I think in some states that is considered sexual assult and my wife
informed me that in some states the TSA agents fingers penetating the vagina would be considered rape.

Some states do define anything that penetrates the vigina as rape.

10. No fingers are penetrating vaginas in these pat-downs.
They are occurring through clothing and can be conducted in public.

19. That is not penetration. Touching the OUTSIDE of her vulva did not ENTER her vagina
Penetration is going INSIDE. She was touched on the outside of her body, no fingers went INSIDE.

Here is more info:
"The vulva (from the Latin vulva, plural vulvae. See etymology) is the external genital organs of the female mammal."
"In slipshod colloquial speech, the term vagina is often wrongly used to refer to the female genitals generally. The vagina is a specific internal structure, whereas the vulva is the whole exterior genitalia"

37. It should not matter if clothing is involved. It is still being touched
in an inappropriate manner.

If a child was touched thru clothing on that part of the body adults would go nuts.

38. We aren't saying it doesn't matter as it does. Just that it isn't penetration
Get irate at what happened, but there is no need to exaggerate being touched to being penetrated.

in the traditional sense. It is still violation of a private area.

48. What was "penetrated"? What was pierced or passed through?
It is a violation of a private area, but is NOT penetrating since nothing was penetrated. Not in "the traditional sense", not in any sense.

It CAN and is a violation, just not a penetration. If someone considers it a "penetration", they are wrong. If they consider it a violation, they are right.

as her description implies.

The new pat-downs are certainly more intrusive than before, but this woman's account is overblown, IMHO.

53. He tried to leave, in fact left
he is about to be fined upwards of 10,000 for leaving.

And I am not saying that it fits the definition of penetration from a medical point of view, but you know very well that an EMT would get into all kinds of trouble over this. And I might add, with good reason. Only when catching babies could you get that close, as it were.

By the way google Tyner... name of "don't touch my junk" guy.

27. You think that makes it OK?
This is one of the strangest things I've ever read. It's like you're saying it's OK because it happens to others. You know I took care of my mother for years, and because she was incontinent I had to clean her two or three times a day. I wasn't probing and I wasn't a stranger in an airport feeling to see if she had some explosives hidden in her vagina. How in the world do you equate the two?

No one has touched my vulva, but the "patdown" does involve hands going right up the inside of your thighs and around your breasts. A well endowed woman would definitely be giving the TSA worker a handful.

This has gone too far.

Does no one remember the stupid underwear bomber was on the DO NOT FLY list??? Why don't they do their freaking jobs and quit groping the flying public????

The Christmas bomber was used as an excuse, and the gear would not have found him either.
